Contrary to what the lyrics may suggest ("money, money, money, money!"), the song that we play by Kenneth Gamble, Leon Huff, Anthony Jackson, and, Joe Tarsia--For the Love of Money--is actually about not exploiting money or letting it go to your head. The O'Jays were up-and-coming artists when they came up with the tune, but thought carefully about how financial success fit in with their ethics and religious beliefs.
